Cranial Therapy

A gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body's natural healing processes by addressing restrictions in the cranial and fascial systems — complementing our osteopathic manipulative treatment.

About

What is Cranial Therapy?

Cranial therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique rooted in osteopathic medicine that focuses on the subtle movements of the cranial bones and the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid. By using light touch to release restrictions in the cranial, fascial, and nervous systems, it supports the body's innate ability to heal and self-regulate.

In our practice, cranial therapy complements osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) by addressing the deeper structural and neurological patterns that influence breathing, swallowing, posture, and overall function. It is especially beneficial for patients with nervous system dysregulation, cranial asymmetries, or tension patterns that affect orofacial development.

This non-invasive approach is suitable for all ages — from newborns with feeding difficulties to adults managing chronic headaches, jaw tension, or post-concussion symptoms. Each session is individualized to address the patient's unique needs and treatment goals.
